Please leave the pups at home - dogs are prohibited in Button Rock Preserve in order to protect wildlife habitat. This route has great views of open space in Button Rock Preserve. The trailhead is located right at the end of County Road 80. There is a dirt parking area right by the trailhead. From the parking lot, you'll follow Longmont Dam Road past Longmont Reservoir until you reach Ralph Price Reservoir. You will be hiking along the North St. Vrain Creek. This trail is a popular day hike in Longmont. On this route, you'll enjoy the dramatic views of Long's Peak, Mt. Meeker, and Twin Sisters beyond the reservoir.
