Hidden Falls is a scenic, lesser-known waterfall in the Wild Basin area, featuring a 100-foot cascade that often turns into massive ice columns in the winter and is popular with ice climbers (Thanks for the suggestion, Peg).
We will start at the winter parking lot and follow the pedestrian trail to an out-and-back horse trail that brings us to the bottom of Hidden Falls. We will take a break to explore the falls and maybe get lucky to observe some climbers. We will then take the trail back to the main Wild Basin trailhead which is closed for cars during the winter. From there you have the option to return to the winter lot (about 4 miles total roundtrip and 530 ft EG) or add on an additional 3.6 miles and 630 ft EG to get to the Calypso Cascades and back.

Please bring layers, water, snacks/lunch, traction devices and your America the beautiful pass. You can also pay the National Park fee using the automated machines located at the Wild Basin entrance.

Please consider carpooling if possible.
