This gem of a trail leads hikers out to Elk Falls Pond within the beautiful forested Staunton State Park. The trail has a subtle incline and is well-marked, with gorgeous scenery and lots of wildflowers along the way.
Note: Bikers are allowed on this trail.
Parking: Staunton State Park - Meadow Parking Lot
Fee: Daily entrance fee if you do not have an annual State Park Pass is $10.00/vehicle (CO) and $15.00/vehicle (out of state license plate)
Recommendation - set up carpooling if you do not have a State Park Pass.
Hike will be weather dependent but let's hope for a crisp, clear day! Check meetup the night before if weather seems iffy.
