Writers Who Read: Tilt - Emma Pattee
Details
September's hybrid meeting—IN PERSON at the Boulder Library Main Branch second floor Flatirons Meeting Room & ONLINE (see link when you register)—is Tilt by Emma Pattee (USA, 2025) on Sunday starting at 2:30 pm (for 2 hours).
Emma Pattee's first novel is about trying to postpone the inevitable: babies, breakups, earthquakes. The citizens of Portland, Oregon, live in denial that the Cascadia earthquake—which has a 1-in-3 chance of happening within the next 40 years—might strike today. After The Really Big One destroys the IKEA where 37-week-pregnant Annie has been shopping for a crib, she must wend her way through an apocalyptic hellscape to find her husband Dom.
We ask that all attendees read the entire book in advance of the meeting. More information about other Writers Who Read meetings and our WwR Podcast can be found at: https://WritersWhoRead.com
