November's hybrid meeting—IN PERSON at the Boulder Library Main Branch second floor Flatirons Meeting Room & ONLINE (see link when you register)—is The True True Story of Raja the Gullible (and His Mother) by Rabih Alameddine (USA, 2025) on Sunday starting at 2:30 pm (for 2 hours).

As astute readers of fiction titles, we know there is no way this story is true, that Raja is gullible, or that this is about his mother. Or do we? Rabih Alameddine's 2025 National Book Award–winning novel tackles Raja's kidnapping during the 1975 Lebanese civil war, and how it led to Stockholm Syndrome, with his captor becoming a sexual and emotional confessor. The event shapes Raja's academic career and his life in profound and unexpected ways.

We ask that all attendees read the entire book in advance of the meeting. More information about other Writers Who Read meetings and our WwR Podcast can be found at: https://WritersWhoRead.com
