Writers Who Read: My Year in Paris With Gertrude Stein - Deborah Levy
Details
March's hybrid meeting—IN PERSON at the Boulder Library Main Branch second floor Arapahoe Meeting Room & ONLINE (see link when you register)—is My Year in Paris With Gertrude Stein by Deborah Levy (UK, 2026) on Sunday starting at 2:30 pm (for 2 hours).
At Harvard and Johns Hopkins Gertrude Stein studied to be a doctor, before decamping to Paris for the rest of her life. A poet with a keen eye for modern art, she supported every writer and artist you've ever heard of who lived in Paris during the early 20th century. Stein's outsized personality and avant-garde views almost smother the modern-day researcher who tries to walk in her footsteps. Sometimes a cat is a cat is a cat. Did you lose it? Was it yours to lose?
We ask that all attendees read the entire book in advance of the meeting. More information about other Writers Who Read meetings and our WwR Podcast can be found at: https://WritersWhoRead.com
