Guest Speaker: Literary Agent Sandra Bond

It's a New Year, so let's make 2024 THE YEAR we reach our writing and publishing milestones! To kick off new beginnings, I've invited an industry expert as our first guest speaker.

Meet Sandra Bond of Bond Literary Agency, an independent agency in Denver with a select list of clients and quite a broad list of titles. The Agency’s most recent success is the international bestselling Go As A River, which is published or about to be published in 31 languages and 35+ countries, and a film option has been sold.

Sandra's speaking session topic will be "What Writers Should Know About the Publishing Industry." It's a competitive industry, and the information Sandra shares is sure to be helpful.

ABOUT SANDRA

Sandra was the program administrator at the University of Denver's Publishing Institute for 4 years (2005-2009), and she still guest lectures there annually. She grew up in Denver and has a degree in microbiology from the University of Colorado. When she’s not working…she’s reading for fun.

While her client list is pretty full, Sandra is interested in adult commercial and literary fiction, smart mystery/thriller/crime fiction, and YA fiction in all categories. She does not represent memoir, romance, adult science fiction, adult fantasy, poetry, children’s picture books, or screenplays. She’s also interested in compelling narrative nonfiction and science for a general audience. Nonfiction authors must have great credentials: real expertise in their subject area and some kind of platform from which they can actively promote their books.

Sandra is sure to provide meaningful insights into the world of publishing. We look forward to learning from Sandra!
