Join us at our monthly gathering where we present topics of interest to Rubyists and aspiring programmers.

Doors open at 6:00pm, where you can hangout and socialize with other Boulder Ruby members. We have food and beverages available to add to the enjoyment.

At 7:15, we do announcements before getting to our presentations.

Talk 1:

Abhinav Keswani

Title: It's Business Time

Description: Contemplating more business focus in conjunction with technology? Abhinav shares the trials, tribulations, joy, confusion and illumination he experienced during his own evolution and transformation from a dedicated technologist into a tech-business person. To fully participate, all attendees are requested to wear business socks.

Talk 2:

Alex Shenoy

Title: Let’s Code An RSpec Clone

Description: We all use tools that we don’t think much about. Why would we? They already exist and they work. RSpec is one of these tools. It’s a very popular testing framework in the Ruby world. But, how does it work? If you wanted to build RSpec, where would you start? In this talk, Alex will live-code a simple RSpec clone and talk about what we can learn about Ruby and programming by building tools like this.
