Please join us for our first Wednesday G/90 Quads chess tournament, starting on the 2nd Wednesday of September. Quads are a lot of fun because you will be paired with 3 other players that have a similar rating and play one G/90 game per week for 3 weeks.

3 round Quad tournament (USCF Rated)
Time Control: G/90 d5 (90 minutes per player, 5 second delay per move)
Site: CU Boulder UMC (see below for more info)
Entry fee: $15 if you register ahead of time on our meetup.com tournament page (select that you will "attend" the event).
$20 entry fee on-site.
Prizes: $50 for the winner of each quad
On-Site Registration: 6:20pm to 6:40pm (not necessary if you register online)
Rounds: One game every Wednesday at 6:45pm for 3 weeks (Sept 10th, 17th, 24th). Players can arrange with their opponent to pay their weekly game on another day or at another time. The first Wednesday in October (Oct 1st) is a make-up day for anyone who cannot play one of their games on its scheduled night.

CLICK HERE (http://goo.gl/maps/AvvGz) for a map showing the location of the Chess Club at the University Memorial Center (UMC). The tournament will be in the common area across from "Baby Doe's Coffee and Bakery". There will be students talking at surrounding tables, so keep in mind that there will be some ambient noise during play. Players can move their game to a quieter area of the UMC if they prefer.

If you are driving, the best place to park is in the Euclid Avenue AutoPark located directly adjacent to the UMC. Anyone can park in this lot after 5pm for a fixed fee of $4. The lot closes at 11:30pm. CLICK HERE (http://goo.gl/maps/AvvGz) to see where the AutoPark is located.

Please remember to bring your tournament chess set and chess clock!
