Twitter is our host for this special event, and they require all guests in their space to register at https://boulderpythonmeetup.splashthat.com/ . PLEASE MAKE SURE TO DO THIS BEFORE ARRIVING!!

We're welcoming Mr. Brandon Rhodes, PyCon chair for 2016/2017, as the speaker for January. Brandon is an accomplished speaker with a long list of past talks. Brandon is currently an employee at Dropbox and will be joining us all the way from Bluffton, Ohio.

Brandon will be giving a first-time talk focusing on his recent Design Patterns work (https://python-patterns.guide/). He recently built out a series of blog posts highlighting individual design patterns and their implementations in Python. This work was inspired by the fact that after several years, the video of his Python Design Patterns talk in 2012 is still one of his most popular. The posts are meant to be a living reference that can be corrected and improved as time goes on.

If you've seen Brandon speak before, I'm sure you'll be there. If you haven't, you're in for a treat!

Our meetup has implemented the PyCon "Code of Conduct" (https://us.pycon.org/2018/about/code-of-conduct/) for ensuring all members attending a session feel included and heard. Thanks for your mutual respect to one another.

Want to give a talk at a future meetup? Submit your talk idea here: https://www.boulderpython.org/submit

Join the conversation! We hang out in #meetup-python and #help-python on the Denver Devs Slack Community. (get an invite at denverdevs.org (https://denverdevs.org/))
