Who’s up for a free weeknight immersive art experience? Join us Thursday March 26 at 7:00 PM at The Egg for the Firebird immersive audiovisual art experience! It’s an “otherworldly light show” inspired by Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite involving hundreds of recycled car tail lights. Looks like we might get to wear shiny capes, too. 👀 More details about the show below.

We will meet in the Concourse below The Egg at 6:40 PM. Although the event is free, you must register in advance here: https://www.tixr.com/groups/theegg/events/firebird-169303. Be sure to select the March 26 viewing!

An epic adaptation of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite performed by a monolithic orchestra of tail lights.
This is a guided, immersive audiovisual art experience. Attendees will start on the Concourse (under The Egg) before they make their way up into the venue.

FIREBIRD is both an audio experience and an otherworldly light show. Inspired by Igor Stravinsky’s 1919 “Firebird Suite”, a unique orchestra of over 600 recycled car lights unleashes a hypnotic choreography of light upon the audience to a pre-recorded composition. Together, they bring the mythical firebird to life in an overwhelming visual and musical spectacle.

Currently touring the United States, Touki Delphine, by invitation, scoured American car graveyards to create an XL, transatlantic version of their iconic installation. FIREBIRD has already lit up the deserts of Utah, the coast of California, the skyline of New York City, the hearts of Dartmouth University and Bentonville’s Momentous Festival. The journey continues at renowned festivals and museums across the country.
