Green River Bluffs & Options - Mammoth Cave National Park

Great beginner hike. Good hike for kids! Good for everyone- read on.

We'll start at the kiosk in front of the visitor center and wind our way down to the river bluffs for a scenic overlook of the Green River. After a short visit to River Styx Spring, the trail climbs steeply past the historic entrance to Mammoth Cave and back to the visitor center. Approximately 2 miles.

But that's not all! You can head home or if you want more we can amble down to the Green River Ferry Crossing. Starting an exercise routine, go slow and go home. Training for a big backpacking trip? Wear your heaviest pack and go the distance.

Your well-behaved dog on a leash is welcome.

Bring water and snacks. Hiking or tennis shoes required.
