Window Cliffs State Natural Area, Tennessee

Please join us for a in/out hike in the unique Window Cliffs Nature Preserve near Burgess Falls, Tennessee. A roundtrip requires 18 creek crossings to cool us off in the hot summer sun. These stream crossings can be challenging or impassable during high water as there are no bridges but only cables and rock crossings but most may be dry this time of year. You will get wet when hiking this trail. Hiking boots are recommended as well as a pair of water shoes or tennis shoes for stream crossings. The trail is considered difficult to strenuous due to the numerous stream crossings with sometimes swift water and the potentially dangerous cliff tops.

Hike Length: 5.5 miles in/out with a total of 18 stream crossings.
