Brain Body Tribe Dance Session no 3: Play, Dance and Neuroplasticity

Details
This event is designed to gather people interested in the brain, in the body (movement!) and the community.
So join me this Sunday for two hours filled with free movement and a small science input.
In this session we'll explore the topic of play, why it's important for our brain and how we can use it in movement. But most importantly, we'll have fun moving together with others!
Structure: We’ll start with a small warm up to get our bodies and minds active, to train our muscles a little bit and to get to know the group. Then we’ll go into free dance and improvisation exercises to experience the group and get to know our creative potential in free flow. We’ll finish the session with relaxation exercises and a feedback round.
As this is a new format, for this month the participation fee is 15 Euros for those 2 hours.
This is a non-judgmental space in which the aesthetic of the movement does not matter. You do not need to have any experience in dance. Everybody is welcome to just enjoy the flow, to grow and experience together. But please note that you are responsible for judging your own movement abilities. You can always sit down and relax when things get too intense.
Please wear sport/comfortable clothing in which you can move (changing rooms are available) and take something to drink with you. We need to take off our shoes in the studio so bring warm socks if you get cold easily. If you have a yoga matt or a small blanket or cushion to sit on, feel free to bring it along as well.
Reservation and Cancellation: You'll make my life a lot easier when you register at least two days in advance (so until Thursday evening) and stick to your plan. Of course this is not mandatory, I'm happy for anyone who comes last minute, but it helps me plan. If you cannot make it, please cancel your spot.
3G and Corona regulations: This session will be a 3G event, so please bring the relevant certificates. If you want to do a self-test before the class, please come 15 mins early. Please wear an FFP2 mask until you are at your spot in the room.
Space: We’ll use the rooms of the Sarré Akademie located at the Werksviertel very close to Ostbahnhof. The address is: Atelierstr. 29/Werk 1 (first floor).
How to get there: Plan in 10 minutes of walking from Ostbanhof to Werk1. From Ostbahnhof take the exit to Friedenstraße, walk through Werksviertel and pass the big wheel until you arrive at the building called Werk1 (the building next to it says VIELFALT). You will see a glass front which is a café, don't enter any glass doors! Next to the café is a steel door (Sarré Akademie is written on it) – that’s the one you enter! Climb the stairs to the 1st floor and you’re there!
Time: The class starts at 11h and ends at 13h. I will be there 15 minutes early, you’re welcome to join me as the check-in will take time. Please be there at 12h latest, so that we can start on time.
Looking forward to moving with you! Please reach out if you have any questions!
