About us
Welcome to a song circle where every single voice belongs — especially yours.
This is not a choir. This is not a performance. This is not for singers only.
This is a community gathering rooted in the simple, powerful act of singing together — the way humans have always come together to connect, heal, and belong.
Songs are taught by ear through call-and-response — you just repeat what you hear. No sheet music. No musical experience needed. No auditions. Whether you sing in the shower, hum to yourself, sing to your kids, or have never sung in a group before — you will be singing within minutes of walking in.
What you will experience:
A judgment-free circle where all ages are welcome — from children to grandparents. A space to express yourself freely, feel seen, and leave feeling lighter and more connected than when you arrived.
The science backs it up:
Community singing is now being prescribed for mental health in the UK and Canada. Programs like SingWell Toronto already offer group singing for people living with Parkinson's and dementia. A British Journal of Psychiatry study found 76% of moms recovered from postpartum depression through community singing — compared to 50% with conventional treatment. Because when voices come together, cortisol drops, oxytocin rises, and isolation lifts.
Who leads this circle:
Vie is an expressive arts therapist in training, international song circle leader, and community singing facilitator whose work has taken her across borders — co-leading gatherings with song leaders from around the world. Back home in the GTA, she brings this same depth of experience to intimate local circles, including ongoing work with Wellspring Cancer Support, where community singing is offered to individuals and families affected by cancer.
Her approach is rooted in trauma awareness, counselling techniques, and child and youth mental health. She creates spaces where expression is welcomed, emotions can move freely, and every voice — however it sounds today — is exactly enough.
Her belief is simple — every voice matters not because it is perfect, but because it is real.
Where we gather:
Our home base is Woodhall Park Retirement Village, 10250 Kennedy Rd N, Brampton — every first Sunday of the month at 4:00 PM. Vie also facilitates circles in supportive and therapeutic settings across the GTA.
Come as you are. Bring your voice, however it sounds today.
