From a CIO who has been immersed in technology since college to a person who was self-taught later in life to a Yale MBA grad who transitioned into coding - there will be something for everyone!

Anna started her career as a management consultant at Accenture and then got her MBA at the Yale School of Management. She always had an interest in technology but thought it was too late to pursue it, until she took a coding course online and fell in love with it. She attended Flatiron School’s Web Development program and now she is a software engineer at BCG Platinion.

Dennis Klemenz is currently the Chief Information Officer at Connex Credit Union and an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of New Haven and Quinnipiac University. Dennis has supported or worked in a variety of industries including technology, education, defense, aerospace, manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, home automation, and financial services. A firm believer in the New Haven community, Dennis volunteers his time to mentoring local high school students, participating in the New Haven Diaper Bank diaper drives, building houses with the Habitat for Humanity and supporting local technology companies that are part of the TechHire initiative. Dennis is also a big fan of the Buffalo Bills...but we do not hold that against him.

Before becoming a software engineer Brian spent over 10 years working as a professional barber and men’s hairstylist. Brian developed his skills as a software engineer on the online education platform, Team Treehouse - http://referrals.trhou.se/brianpolonia. Today he is involved with the tech community as a co-organizer of the React Native NYC meetup and shares his story about his career change via blog and podcast interviews and by speaking at tech meetups.
