This is a relaxed, non- competitive, and supportive atmosphere, we are going to play just for fun.

Best solar eclipse since 1999! 🌑☀️ The sun will be ~91% obscured by the sun.

Join us for a picnic, drinks, and to watvh the eclipse down on Hove beach. Please ensure all food and drink you bring is vegan 🍇🌽🌮🧆🍝

Timeline:
17:20 - event starts, meet at the Peace Statue.

17:30 - we will go and set up on the beach nearby. The exact location (what3words) will be posted on meetup.

18:18 - eclipse begins
19:14 - maximum eclipse (it will get chilly!)
20:07 - eclipse ends
20:26 - sunset

Depending on how many of us there are and how warm it is, we might go find a pub.

IMPORTANT: You are responsible for bringing your own eclipse glasses to view the eclipse. Do not turn up without them or try to look at it without special glasses as it can permenantly damage your eyesight.

Weather: 🌦🌦🌦 This is the UK. So with the best will in the world we cannot guarantee it will be nice weather on the day. With this being an outside event, it will be cancelled if the weather is inclement. A decision will be made the day before if this can/cannot go ahead.

Join us for boardgames and food at Alcampo lounge and meet some fellow vegans.

Games will NOT include Monopoly 😛 they will be fun and easy.

RSVP: There are only 16 spaces, so please only RSVP if you can make it. If you are unable to attend after saying you can come, then please change your RSVP and let Kerry know to give others a chance to join. Repeatedly not showing up or cancelling last minute will affect your ability to attend in the future.

Yummy vegan fish & chips, fake cod, haddock, calamari, battered sausage and more! plus mushy peas... I adore mushy peas. This already beloved fully vegan chippy is right on the seafront and means you can indulge your greasy food memories to your hearts content.

❤️🐟🐠❤️ love fish, love the ocean and feed your empty stomach.

We will be getting food to go, and then eat it on Hove Lawns if its nice or in the restaurant if its raining. If its really nice we might stay on the beach for a while, so bring drinks and swimming stuff if you want to indulge, but no pressure!

Running late?
If you are late grab yourself some food and call/text/WhatsApp James on 07769173503 for the location. But be aware if you are very late that you might not get a quick response. Please let James know if you are running late, so he knows to still be expecting you.

So as to not overload the restaurant, there is a limit on numbers of 20 spaces. If you can no longer make it please change your RSVP. Repeatedly no showing, or dropping out last minute (24 hours) for this event, will affect your ability to attend in the future.

Weather 🌧 This is the UK. The weather is at best unpredictable, so we will check the day before and post whether this can go ahead outdoors or at the location. We cannot book, so if we are indoors at No Catch there will be limited space.
