Solar Eclipse: Vegan picnic & drinks

RSVP opens 2 weeks before event

Best solar eclipse since 1999! 🌑☀️ The sun will be ~91% obscured by the moon.

Join us for a picnic, drinks, and to watvh the eclipse down on Hove beach. Please ensure all food and drink you bring is vegan 🍇🌽🌮🧆🍝

Timeline:
17:20 - event starts, meet at the Peace Statue.

17:30 - we will go and set up on the beach nearby. The exact location (what3words) will be posted on meetup.

18:18 - eclipse begins
19:14 - maximum eclipse (it will get chilly!)
20:07 - eclipse ends
20:26 - sunset

Depending on how many of us there are and how warm it is, we might go find a pub.

IMPORTANT: You are responsible for bringing your own eclipse glasses to view the eclipse. Do not turn up without them or try to look at it without special glasses as it can permenantly damage your eyesight.

Weather: 🌦🌦🌦 This is the UK. So with the best will in the world we cannot guarantee it will be nice weather on the day. With this being an outside event, it will be cancelled if the weather is inclement. A decision will be made the day before if this can/cannot go ahead.
