About us
This group is for anyone who wants to drop by for a social game of volleyball. We play indoors in Moulsecoomb, on grass in Preston Park or on a lovely soft sand at Brighton's excellent Yellowave beach sports venue.
This group is all about the members - if there is an event you want to see, step up and create it. That's what the site is for, and it is really good for it! Everyone can create an event - so come on, what have you got to lose? And the organisers have been doing this a while, so we may be able to provide advice if you need it, too.
A great way to have fun outdoors (or indoors too!), get some exercise and meet people!

Just show up on time, warm up and play for fun. In order to preserve the flow of the game this session is not for complete beginners.Please use "Attend" button to reserve your space and make the payment separately to confirm your reservation:
Transfer £6.90 towards the court booking and cost of equipment.

If you are not a member of Freedom Leisure, please also pay £2.20 entry fee at the reception when you enter the sports centre. Annual Membership is only £17.60.
The car park is free (up to 3 hours), but don't forget to register your car plate number at the reception.

BIVS women tryouts @ Falmer

Hey everyone!
As the season approaches, we are running one session of additional tryouts to fill up the last spots for our women's team to compete in SVA local league in Division 2.
As a competitive and inclusive club, we are looking at building a team that aims at reaching Division 1!
Tryouts will be competitive, with only 4 spots currently available on the team, and selections will be made on the basis of:
- Technical and gameplay skills
- Adaptability to our specific team dynamic
- Attitude and coachability (the ability to take feedback and apply it towards improvement)
Part of the existing team will be at the session, and you will have a chance to get a taste of our training formats.
We will email you in the immediate days after the tryouts with feedback specific to your playing level and the result of our selection. You will either:- Be selected on the team
- Be accepted to train with the team, but unable to compete with the team
- Be accepted as a social member in the club
- Not be accepted as a member if too many spots are filled overall
Relevant membership fees informations and offers packs will be sent if you confirm your interest.
Please note, you will only be invited to the event if you complete this form. There will be a fee of £10 to join the tryouts to cover court costs. Once you have registered you will be sent the payment details.
Parking is free on the site, provided you register your car at the entrance.

Sunday Training & Games (Intermediate Level)

This coaching session is suitable for players of intermediate level and above. You will be able to improve your volleyball skills and play volleyball for fun. The first hour is for a warmup, training and drills, the second one is for playing 6 vs 6 without a coach.Please RSVP and complete this step to confirm your reservation:
