About us
The Data Intelligence Network is a welcoming and growing community hosted by award-winning Brighton-based R, Python and Shiny experts, Datacove, with meetups across six UK cities in Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Portsmouth.
Our events are built around networking, community, and connection, bringing people together to meet peers, share stories, and build meaningful relationships. Alongside this, we provide opportunities to learn through talks, hands-on sessions, and open knowledge sharing in a friendly, inclusive environment. Whether you’re new to data or experienced, there’s always something to discover.
At the heart of our community is the EARL Data Intelligence Conference, our annual event that brings together a global audience. With 200+ attendees across 3 days, expert-led workshops, inspiring talks, and an unforgettable evening social, EARL is where the wider network comes together to learn, collaborate, and celebrate data. Find out more here.
We welcome all technologies and backgrounds, including R, Python, SQL, Rust, BI stacks, modern AI tooling, and beyond. Our focus is on sharing knowledge, solving real-world problems, and supporting each other’s growth in data and analytics. But what if you get it wrong? The surefire way to screw up your analysis – from a brain perspective.
Lauren Stoney
Mental Strength Trainer and Mindset Coach
Lauren Stoney Coaching LtdThere's something sneaky and insidious lurking inside each and every data team, that is responsible for everything from overwhelm and anxiety to shoddy analysis and missed deadlines — and it has nothing to do with skills or tools.
In this talk, Lauren Stoney names it, explains why it takes hold specifically in analytical work, and looks at what it's costing teams when it goes unchecked.
Insightful, practical, and essential for anyone who leads or works inside a data team — plus a preview of a future half-day workshop on turning data into a story people actually act on.

"What Enterprise AI Product Teams Learn After the Demo"
The hardest part of enterprise AI begins after the prototype works. Product teams must decide what evidence is good enough, where human review belongs, how access and governance should work, and whether users are actually
changing the workflow. This talk presents a field tested product lens for that transition. It combines use case
selection, evaluation, operating design and adoption into one decision system. The session is designed for a
practitioner audience and uses concrete product examples rather than broad AI predictions. What attendees will take away:
1. A checklist for moving an AI prototype toward production
2. A method for balancing quality, risk, and speed
3. An adoption scorecard that focuses on changed work, not novelty--- Schedule & Refreshments ---
