Hello, I created and have been running this anime group for 7 years now, but it's so far been just word of mouth, and a small tightly-knit local group. We recently lost most of our members though, and the four of us remaining are hoping to get some fresh faces in, and open up our fun hangout to you!. It's a chill group with friendly kind attendees. We're going to watch some quality shows on a Sunday afternoon, this happens every month, inside a meeting room at Garden City Library, and there will be some light snacks at the meet. Feel free to bring any food and drink you like too, so long as no one is making a big mess :) .
After the anime we all go to have dinner at Garden City either in the food court or outside at one of the restaurants.
Transport to Garden City is really easy, you can catch a M1 bus and also the 150 and 160 buses leaving from Southbank station. They are quick bus trips and are frequent back to the city. Alternatively you can drive and park in the Garden City paid car park.
The anime we watch continues on from the last meetup and we cycle out animes at the end of their seasons, and choose new ones to watch together, or continue the show if everyone votes to keep watching it. The newer the attendee, the more likely you'll get to choose our next animes, and we also watch one episode of a new "sample" anime each time at the end You can participant in choosing a new anime or just enjoy what's on offer, there is no pressure here. During the meets we talk about anything and everything too, you can join in or just come to watch some anime.
At this meet up on the 16th, the attendees will be myself and one of the groups' longest members Ricky.
