The Non-Linear Movement Method® (NLMM) is a powerful somatic method developed by Michaela Boehm. It has many benefits such as:

  • Regulating the nervous system
  • Connect with your feelings
  • Processing your emotions
  • Awakening sensations
  • Releasing trauma patterns and flow
  • Uniting body and mind
  • Awakening bodily wisdom

NLMM is easy and anyone can do it as long as you can position yourself on all fours on a yoga mat! Unlike yoga however, there are no set forms or rules other than keep moving to the beat, however subtly. Sessions begin and end with a short meditation or journalling exercise.

The sessions are run on a Sunday by donation by a Psychologist at her clinic in a safe and comfortable space. In her work, Rachel treats trauma using a variety of therapies and has experienced the benefits of this somatic form of practice for tuning in with the wisdom of the body. Rachel uses NLMM herself to manage stress and cultivate self-connection (to get out of her head!) and recommends it to clients.

Bring a yoga mat, water bottle and note book for writing any reflections at the end of sessions. Wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing.

Please note, this session is NOT a form of, nor a substitute for, psychological or physical therapy. This group exists to support one another to practice this powerful form of self-connection.
