Hey all, stumbled across this event and it sounds fun! Looks to be mainly a food festival but there might be more to see in the surrounds as well. I've set the even time for 2 hours in the afternoon, but if people are having fun can hang around a bit longer if you like.

More information on the website: https://japanstreatparty.com/

Start time: 3pm
Meeting point: I'll need to post this on the day pending crowds, I'll try and get there early
Duration: A couple hours, depending on how much fun we're having
Cost: website says entry is free, but please bring money for anything you want to purchase
Other info: suggest wearing comfortable footwear for walking around, and a hat if its sunny

If it ends up being really small, or less exciting than we expect, we can always go for a little stroll somewhere - Victoria Park is nearby, or down to the River in Newstead.

Personal disclaimer:

I've run a number of meetups in the past (in Sydney) and attended many more (all over the world), and I have learned it best not to give anyone my phone number straight away. If you need help or are lost on the day, please use the comments section or send me a message using the meetup app. Also, I expect a level of common sense and independence of those attending these events. While I definitely want to be welcoming and help foster conversation, I won't be baby sitting anyone. At the end of the day, you need to be responsible for yourself - it's just a common courtesy so that everyone can have a good time. Thanks!
