The walk from JC Slaughter Falls to the Mt Coot-Tha summit is mostly uphill it requires medium fitness, we usually have a stop for a few minutes. There are a few drink opportunities on the way. If you are very fit and want to walk fast, we will meet you at the top.

At the Summit we will have breakfast or coffee together at the Kuta Cafe.The walk is dog friendly but the Cafe is not so if you don't want to leave your dog tied up then you won't be able to go in the Cafe. We can get you something from the Cafe if you want.

Turn off Sir Samuel Griffith Drive at the JC Slaughter Falls Picnic Area. We meet at the first block of toilets on the right. We leave very prompt at 7 am, if you are late and we have left, you can walk up and meet us at the Summit or you can try and catch up while walking up. There is still plenty of social time for chatting once we get up there and there will be the walk down.

Please note that sometimes it is difficult to find a park so allow yourself time and you might have to walk a bit to the starting point.

Meet us at the Salisbury Hotel car park at 7.30. We will walk up a bit of a hill to where the toilets are, just meet us there if you don't want to walk up the little hill. We then walk for 5 kms. Some people may go on a 7 km walk or more (but there will always be people walking the 5 km track for sure). The 5 km track is generally every flat....just one or two small inclines. You can decide how far you want to walk on the day. We always go to McDonalds or a coffee shop afterwards join us if you feel like it. It is always a great way to kick off the weekend! THIS WALK IS EVERY SATURDAY AND WE USUALLY GO WITH ANOTHER GROUP AND THERE IS ALWAYS 5 OTHER PEOPLE AT LEAST.

Meet outside the Smug Fig cafe at Stones Corner at 7.30 am. NOTE: LOCATION FOR SMUG FIG IS 7 JEAVONS LANE STONES CORNER We'll walk down to Hanlon Park then follow the Norman Creek pathways to Tarragindi and back again, followed by coffee and/or brunch at the Smug Fig. The total distance of the walk is just over 5.5 kms, mostly flat with some slight undulations, and we'll be walking at a moderate to brisk pace. There are some shady sections but it's mostly sun exposed so bringing water, sunscreen & a hat is recommended. A very pretty route through a string of a parks and the bauhinias should be in full bloom!

Joint us for a walk starting at the Holman Street Ferry terminal every Thursday for a walk around Kangaroo Point. This walk is with another meet up group - Brisbane Social Singles. You just go to that group for more details. Tracey is your host, sometimes she might not be able to make it but the walk can still go ahead. See you there!
