When people think of Brisbane City Council, often parking, licences, and building approvals come to mind.….however, the BCC also offers a variety of services aimed at making it easier for Small Business to develop and grow.
Through their “Doing Business in Brisbane” Program the BCC provides, Advice and Assistance, Grants, Business Events, Business Awards, Case Studies, Newsletters, and even help with growing your business Internationally.
This session will look at the variety of opportunities available to Brisbane Small Business owners.
Prior to accepting the role as Small Business Liaison – City of Brisbane, Terri Cooper ran her own small business for 15 years. She also founded the Australian Small Business Group in 2008 to speak up on behalf of small business. This included spots on the Greg Cary radio show on 4BC and an appearance on SBS Insight program.
At this event, Terri will share some of the small business initiatives provided by Brisbane City Council, most of which are free.

This group is designed for Brisbane based business owners to network, share experiences , learn from each other and collaborate - with the goal of improving your businesses.
Our monthly meetup events cover a variety of topics relevant to managing and growing a small business. Most of these topics are suggested by members, and most of them are presented by members with a speciality in that particular area.
Presentations are informal and interactive, usually with ample opportunity for Questions and Answers and often taking a "Roundtable discussion" format.
It costs just $10 if you RSVP early (but goes up to $15 on the day).
A typical timeline (not set in concrete) :
12:00pm -Arrive, have a drink & a chat, order meal & Eat
1:00pm - Discussions/Presentation start
2:00pm - Official finish
