🌟 WHO IS CHRISTINE? 🌟
Introduced to Theosophy in December 1999 through the Brisbane Theosophical Society, Christine Winn was inspired by its remarkable library to become a member the very next day. With a background in finance, management, and public service, she now leads the Logan Theosophy Group and a long-running farm animal rescue, finding Theosophical teachings deeply enriching and life-affirming.

True forgiveness in A Course in Miracles is not about pardoning what we think someone has done but resting in stillness, releasing judgment, and recognising that no real harm has occurred. In this peaceful letting‑go we transcend the ego’s world of conflict and rediscover a deeper truth beyond the human condition, where inner peace and unity are restored.

🌟 WHO IS SIMON? 🌟
Simon Jones studied the history of religion at St Lucia in 1982 and later worked as a self-employed ceramic artist, while maintaining a lifelong commitment to Buddhist and Hindu, choir and kirtan practices. His diverse background also includes experience in the construction industry, a passion for restoring classic Alfa Romeos, and a deep love of gardening and creative living.

Please join us in the lovely forest of the Gold Coast hinterland for a weekend of meditation. Whether you are a beginner or a long-term practitioner, this retreat provides the time and space for the deepening of our meditative practice in order to connect with the stillness within, and to experience the beauty and power of nature.

The meditation on our Silent Retreat does not follow any one tradition, but does ‘borrow’ from the great traditions from time to time, but with a more contemporary approach. There are no rituals or ‘have too-s’, but rather a leaning towards openness, connectivity and ease, and the environment of the retreat in the beautiful mountain area, with its clear air, magnificent trees and wildlife, adds a further special non-material aspect to our stay.

Check in is from 4:30pm Friday. Departure is after lunch on Sunday.

🌟 LECTURE CONTENT 🌟
During the early Italian Renaissance, inspired by Petrarch’s Il Trionfi, a set of 22 trump cards was added to traditional playing cards — forming the Tarot as we know it today. Far more than a game, these cards encoded a hidden map for spiritual transcendence rooted in early Christian mysticism, later suppressed by the Church.In 2006, while on sabbatical in Italy, Russell uncovered this forgotten wisdom. After nearly 20 years of study and lived application, it transformed his life - replacing suffering with fulfilment, love, serenity, and awe.

🌟 WHO IS RUSSELL? 🌟
Russell will share this profound path from direct experience.Russell lives off-grid in the Bunya Mountains, surrounded by rainforest. Trained in osteopathic massage at 15, he later studied Complementary Health in Sydney in the 1970s. After two decades of successful clinical practice, he taught Bowen Therapy internationally. In the late '80s, his studies in Attitudinal Healing with Gerry Jampolsky and Susan Trout led him to transition into his current work as an awareness and mindfulness mentor.
