🌟 LECTURE CONTENT 🌟
Krishnamurti challenged spiritual authority and organised belief, famously declaring in 1929 that Truth cannot be organised and genuine freedom lies beyond doctrine, theory, and the idea of a World Teacher. This lecture invites us to explore Krishnamurti’s life, teachings, and legacy, focusing not on belief or reverence but on understanding and living his message of liberation.

🌟 WHO IS BRUCE? 🌟
After retiring from a rewarding career with the Queensland Public Service, Bruce Cassidy discovered Theosophy at Spring Hill, and his involvement with the Society has since deepened his passion for exploring life’s mysteries, philosophical enquiry, and the interconnectedness of all beings, including serving on committees at the Brisbane Lodge and supporting national activities. Bruce is especially drawn to the talks of J. Krishnamurti and is supported on this journey by his wife, their dog Rosie, and three energetic grandchildren.

🌟 LECTURE CONTENT 🌟
This lecture will raise, explore, and elucidate several vital questions about the deeper, soul purposes of education: What is the overarching purpose of modern education, whether secular or religious? What is strong, and what is lacking, in the modern pursuit of knowledge? What is the soul? What are its stages of growth from birth to adulthood? In what way is it possible to weave the sacred into secular education without vitiating both? What is involved in ‘waking up’ to wisdom? Is true learning really ‘soul recollection’ as Socrates insisted? These and related issues will be broached and discussed.

🌟 WHO IS DR JAMES? 🌟
Dr James Tepfer taught philosophy, ethics, and religious studies for twenty years at Oxnard College in California. He learned what little he does understand on the subject by mentally sitting at the feet of Shri Raghavan and Nandini Iyer.

🌟 LECTURE CONTENT 🌟
During the early Italian Renaissance, inspired by Petrarch’s Il Trionfi, a set of 22 trump cards was added to traditional playing cards — forming the Tarot as we know it today. Far more than a game, these cards encoded a hidden map for spiritual transcendence rooted in early Christian mysticism, later suppressed by the Church.In 2006, while on sabbatical in Italy, Russell uncovered this forgotten wisdom. After nearly 20 years of study and lived application, it transformed his life - replacing suffering with fulfilment, love, serenity, and awe.

🌟 WHO IS RUSSELL? 🌟
Russell will share this profound path from direct experience.Russell lives off-grid in the Bunya Mountains, surrounded by rainforest. Trained in osteopathic massage at 15, he later studied Complementary Health in Sydney in the 1970s. After two decades of successful clinical practice, he taught Bowen Therapy internationally. In the late '80s, his studies in Attitudinal Healing with Gerry Jampolsky and Susan Trout led him to transition into his current work as an awareness and mindfulness mentor.
