Join us for the School of Theosophy 2026, where participants will delve into the enduring legacy of Mabel Collins’ works, Light on the Path and The Idyll of the White Lotus, both published in 1884, and attributed to an Adept source. These influential texts have engaged the profound interest of Theosophists and the spiritually-minded for over 140 years. They are interconnected by "The Three Great Truths", which together sound a higher spiritual note meant to inspire and draw out the divine life that resonates within all.

This lecture, The Enigma of Gurdjieff, explores his core ideas and sheds light on why his teachings continue to intrigue, influence, and perplex seekers today.

David Allan has been a dedicated member of the Theosophical Society for nearly 25 years, sharing his insights through talks at Brisbane and Sunshine Coast Lodges as well as National Conventions. With a background in electrical power engineering and a lifelong commitment to seeking truth, he explores the Perennial Philosophy through both Western and Eastern traditions, continually uncovering deeper layers of understanding.

🌟 LECTURE CONTENT 🌟
This presentation explores the nature of Sanskrit - one of the world’s oldest languages, its relationship to other languages, and the rich literature it has carried through the centuries. It will also consider the significance of Sanskrit for key figures in the Theosophical Society, including Annie Besant and Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, and the texts and ideas that inspired their work.

🌟 WHO IS ADAM? 🌟
Adam Bowles is an Associate Professor in the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry at the University of Queensland. He has worked on Sanskrit Literature for a number of decades and is currently involved in translating the thirteenth book of the Mahābhārata.

We will look at their application to our daily lives, and attempt to understand ourselves better, making our lives more peaceful.

Introduced to Theosophy in December 1999 through the Brisbane Theosophical Society, Christine Winn was inspired by its remarkable library to become a member the very next day. With a background in finance, management, and public service, she now leads the Logan Theosophy Group and a long-running farm animal rescue, finding Theosophical teachings deeply enriching and life-affirming.
