🌟 WHO IS PETER? 🌟
Peter Bruza is a retired Professor of Information Systems at Queensland University of Technology and has practised Zen Buddhism for over 35 years. Much of his training was under Hogen Yamahata, a master of Japan's Soto Zen tradition, and he now serves as a senior Zen teacher with the Open Way Zen Sangha.

🌟 LECTURE CONTENT 🌟
Theosophy teaches the Mysteries of Nature have always been preserved, protected and disseminated from one century to the next by a lineage of Initiates and Adepts, a Guru-parampara chain sustained by the great Brotherhood of Bodhisattvas and their "twice-born" chelas, disciples or messengers. Their sole and abiding aim has always been the service of humanity and every kingdom of nature through awakening vibrant spiritual wisdom and knowledge animated by universal love. What is an Initiate and what is the role of Initiation in allowing aspirants to enter into this ever-flowing noetic current of wisdom-service? In celebration of Guru Purnima, occurring every year on the second full moon of the lunar month Ashadha (this year on July 29th), join us for an exploration of the mysterious but central function of the true Teacher, Guru or Spiritual Guide in the upward arc of universal enlightenment and spiritual rebirth of humanity.

🌟 WHO IS KIRK? 🌟
Kirk B. Gradin has been a student of Theosophia since 1975, studying under the guidance and tutelage of Shri Raghavan Iyer since 1979. An architect and illustrator by profession and 47 year Associate of the United Lodge of Theosophists, he is co-founder of Studio Vach and of the Gupta Vidya Circle, a weekly online international discussion group. He is a Board member the Institute of World Culture in Santa Barbara and CFO of International Theosophy Conferences. Kirk is a frequent writer and presenter of theosophical themes, both locally and internationally.

"It is the knowledge of Self that is wisdom itself" ~ H.P. Blavatsky. Discover practical methods of self-inquiry and learn how greater awareness of our thoughts and reactions can reveal the hidden forces within, for as Nisargadatta Maharaj wisely said, "What we don't know controls us."

🌟 WHO IS BARRY? 🌟
Barry grew up on a farm in the Darling Downs and later managed his own 700-acre property, where he practiced Bio-Dynamic farming and learned the wisdom of working with nature. Alongside his farming, he studied Theosophical texts and practiced meditation to live their teachings more fully. Over the years, he has travelled throughout Australia and New Zealand, sharing Theosophy with many audiences and is known for his ability to explain complex ideas in a clear, simple way.

This workshop will teach methods to develop the self-awareness needed to bring about inner transformation. To bring the random thinking that the mind so readily displays to a level of calm. The emotional state can be chaotic, and often dominated and controlled by negative states stemming from reactions. Likewise, bring it to a positive state, which will then reflect itself into the mind.
