Meetup for hands-on Machine Learning experience and problem solving. Each session we try and discuss a topic, and generate a proof of concept, taking the opportunity to learn best-practices, tools and implementation skills together. Whether you’re an experienced Data Science/Machine Learning professional or just interested to see what machine learning can do, this is an opportunity to experiment with new methods and techniques.
Note this is at the same location, but starts slightly later, than the AI Automations Meetup (among others). Make your choice of which group you want to join and avoid attending the wrong one.
Byte-pair encoding
The first step to create an LLM is to define the tokens that your model processes/generates. We are going to explore how the best token choices for a corpus of text are discovered. With notebooks and discussion the goal is to understand how this is done, what parameters are available and how they impact the final model.
