[spring] Wild Edible Plants of Magpie Bottom

Details

Open to all, as always, whatever your experience of foraging so far, this is a community for people who want to meet to walk together, make new friends and learn new things.

What to expect: we'll walk around Magpie Bottom, riverside, fields and woodland, we'll have lots of opportunity to chat, ask questions, share knowledge and experiences. All are welcome to share but there's never any pressure to do so! There will be lots of bursts of flowers emerging, trees in full leaf by now.

What to bring: yourselves and everything you'd need for a relaxed walk; some water, a notepad, comfy clothes and shoes.

Travel: we'll meet at the entrance on High St, link to Google Maps is here. The 45 bus gets there from town to Furber Rd, just up the road. There is some parking in residential roads nearby e.g. John Wesley Rd. There are some fences to lock up bikes but not specific railings. Any questions, let me know!

Accessibility: we will be on gravel paths at the start and have the option to move into other wide woodland paths if they are suitable, plenty to see everywhere! Please get in touch if you are unsure and we can adjust.

If you aren't able to cover the cost, let us know , we have bursary spaces available for you, especially for trans and global majority foragers, no questions asked!

Refunds: ** Swaps preferred over refunds - if you can't make it on the day, you're welcome to exchange your space for another date you can attend in future, just get in touch to swap over.
