Welcome members new and old to 2026 Wednesday sessions

We'll meet at the main play park area of Netham Park on Avonvale Road and take a stroll round the edges, down to the canal and up again to see which wild plants are abundant.

Our aim is to have these sessions open to all, whether you have been before or not, whether you have any experience or not! This is a community for people who want to meet outside in nature, make new friends and learn new things about plants, fungi and animals.

What to expect:
>> 5pm - meet at Netham Park Pavillion (free parking in surrounding residential roads). We will see the new nettles, dandelions and other spring greens as well as bugs and birdlife. We'll have lots of opportunity to chat, ask questions, share knowledge, recipes and experiences.

What to bring:
- everything you'd need for a comfortable time outside like water, a notepad, comfy clothes and sturdy shoes
- tupperware if you'd like to take home any plants we find

Travel: the postcode for the meeting point outside Netham Park Pavillion, the closest address is 128 Avonvale Rd, Redfield, Bristol BS5 9RX. The number 44, 42, 43, 45 bus stop 8mins walk away. We will start and end the walk at the pavillion.

Accessibility:
Netham Park has a mix of grassy and concrete paths, with some steeper sections, not fully suitable for all wheelchair users due to the steep, natural terrain. Let us know if you need any additional needs and we can adjust our route accordingly.

Safety and community care: to keep everyone safe, please do not attend if you are actively infectious with a cold, cough or other illness. Bristol Foraging Group is a neurodivergent, trans-inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly space in nature, all are welcome.

Payment for these sessions goes towards ensuring they can continue at low cost, but if you aren't able to cover this, we have bursary spaces available for you, no questions asked! Let us know (email maria@healingweeds.co.uk) and say you'd like to join!

Refunds: Swaps preferred over refunds - if you can't make it on the day, you're welcome to exchange your space for another date you can attend in future, just get in touch to swap over.
