Unique wildlife of Troopers Hill [+ optional sunset snacks]

Open to all, as always, whatever your experience of foraging so far, this is a collective space for people who want to meet for walking together, making new friends, sharing thoughts and learning new things.

What to expect
We will be exploring the woodlands and open hillside of Troopers Hill which is home to some unique habitats and plants, excited to show you!

Meeting point at the big tower at Troopers Hill Park, here is the google link to Troopers' Hill Rd, Bristol BS5 8BU. We will explore from 6pm - 7.30pm and finish at the same spot, the tower.

*** Optional sunset + snacks, 7.30pm - 8.30pm *** the sunset is gorgeous from the top of this hill, so bring any shared snacks or drinks for a sunset picnic. I will bring extra plastic cups, some plates and cutlery.

Travel buses to Troopers Hill are the 44 or 45 from the centre. There are some railings to lock up bikes by Troopers Hill Playground and free parking on surrounding residential roads. Comment below if you can offer a lift/ need one.

Accessibility this walk will be slow paced, but involves some hills. We can adjust pace and route for mobility needs, let me know if you need any extra assistance via message or text. Bring sturdy warm shoes as the paths can get muddy. There are no public toilets at Trooper's Hill.

Safety and community care: to keep everyone safe, please do not attend if you are actively infectious with a cold, cough or other illness. Bristol Foraging Group is a neurodivergent, trans-inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly space in nature, all are welcome.

Refunds: Swaps preferred over refunds - if you can't make it on the day, you're welcome to exchange your space for another date you can attend in future, just get in touch to swap over.
