Join us on this intro to miso making! No walking outside this time.

Open to all, whatever your experience so far, this is a collective space for people who want to meet, explore nature together, make new friends, share thoughts and learn new things.

What to bring:
- everything you'd need for a comfortable time like water, a notepad, comfy clothes and shoes
- please bring a medium sized jar to take home your miso

What to expect:
6pm - meet at the entrance outside St Werburgh's City Farm Community Room (Watercress Road, BS2 9YJ)
- We will learn about the mould koji which is used to make miso, along with many other beloved fermented goodies
- Taste example misos and learn about different ways of making and room for experimentation
- Make a batch of miso to take home with you!
- We will be making soy and gluten free (and vegan) miso

There'll be lots of opportunity to chat, ask questions, share knowledge, recipes and experiences.

Travel: the meeting point is outside St Werburgh's City Farm Community Room (Watercress Road, BS2 9YJ). The number 25 bus stops nearby. We'll be at this location the whole time.

Accessibility: The space is located on the right hand side at the top of Watercress Road (next to the farm office and the playground).
The main entry has a large single step up, but there is a separate, wheelchair accessible entrance on the left-hand side of the building.
There is a bathroom within the Community Building (which we will use) which is accessed via a small step up, so is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. If you need additional access adjustments, let us know and we can do our best to adjust [maria@healingweeds.co.uk]

Safety and community care: to keep everyone safe, please do not attend if you are actively infectious with a cold, cough or other illness. Bristol Foraging Group is a neurodivergent, trans-inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly space in nature, all are welcome.

Payment for these sessions goes towards ensuring they can continue at low cost, but if you aren't able to cover this, we have bursary spaces available for you, no questions asked! Let us know [email maria@healingweeds.co.uk] and say you'd like to join!

Refunds: Swaps preferred over refunds - if you can't make it on the day, you're welcome to exchange your space for another date you can attend in future, just get in touch to swap over.
