Bristol Vegan (hetero singles) speed dating - June 2026
Details
We’re back! ...Hoping to bring all you lovely singletons together for a Bristol Vegans dating event. We’ve decided to host another for you fabulous lot. This will be formatted more like traditional speed dating.
We'll also be running a LGBTQ+ Mingle event as well.
This event itself is FREE, BUT as this event is being run as part of VegFest and you'll need to buy a ticket to the festival to join the event. Tickets released in May.
To continue offering events like this. If you'd like to make a donation towards a drink for your hosts on the day and printing costs, we won't say no! We'd suggest £1-£2 each would be appreciated.
All the team involved at hosting this are doing this voluntarily!
This event will be unique in that it incorporates elements of a both a social, and a speed dating event. We'll try and make this as easy and least cringeworthy as possible! There will be elements where you are encouraged to move on and chat to someone new when the bell rings, and then some informal time where you can chat to anyone. For each person you meet you can choose romantic interest OR to just be friends! So no more lost friendship opportunities!
Open to all available vegans aged 18 and above. This time we'll be focusing on heterosexual relationship types. You must be single to attend (and vegan obvs).
We are also running an LGBTQ+ mingle (see separate event listing)
HOW IT WORKS
You'll need to register at the start of the event, registration will start around 10mins before the start time. You'll receive a name tag with a number, and a scorecard. We'll need your email address (and optionally phone number) so we can pass these contact details on to whomever you match with, and we'll also email you your matches after the event (please print as clearly as possible and bring a pen if you can!)
Write your first name on your name tag, and before you start chatting to anyone write their name and number down.
You can then more subtly write your interest level after meeting them without having to check their details.
We obviously can't control who will choose to attend this event, so while everyone is of course welcome, we can't guarantee success!
We'll do introductions and registrations between 3:50 & get going asap after 4pm, please grab a drink if you'd like one BEFORE you register. We'll start more formal 'dating' at 4pm.
During the event, the ladies will stay seated and the gents will move around, we'll ring the bell approx every 5 mins or so, so you can move on, this means you'll have time to meet everyone. After this we'll allow time for some more casual conversations where you can talk to who you like.
Write down their name tag number on your scorecard right away, so you don't forget it later!
Obviously people are free to chat to anyone including those of the same gender, but should prioritise potential matches.
After you're done chatting, you can secretly tick the boxes on your scorecard for that person. You can choose 'friends', 'something more', or both. Your contact details will ONLY be shared with that person if they tick the same boxes on their score card (matched), and you will recieve their contact details as well. When you get your matches, it will clearly state whether you matched as friends, or something more.
Remember to give us your score card before leaving the event, otherwise we won't be able to match you with anyone! Even if you have no interest in anyone returning your card helps us know this!
When will I get my matches/ results? Please allow one week after the event for us to email you your matches. If you do not receive the email, please check your junk/spam folder, and if it's not there then please send us a message on Facebook and we'll send it again.
Please note only Ben (ex drinks host) will handle any personal data / matches to keep your data private... and he is happily married, so there is no conflict of interest for anyone attending!
Please also note this being run through Bristol Vegans Facebook group, so major updates will be there but, I'll try and cross post here too!
