Bromptoberfest 2023 - Rescheduled to Sunday
Details
Friday Oct 6 Update: We've made the tough call to move Bromptoberfest to Sunday. Two factors led to this decision:
- Safety: The forecast precipitation and chance of thunderstorms for Saturday mean less visibility for drivers and a higher chance of slips or flat tires within the group.
- Venue: Max Bratwurst doesn’t have covered outdoor seating and we can’t fit a large group inside with their regulars.
We know this means some of you can’t make it but I think you’ll agree it’s the right call for the group. If you cannot attend, contact us for a refund and change your RSVP to "Not Going."
Sunday's forecast is sunny, high 62F, low 50F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. So, please dress for fall riding. All event details remain the same, just 1 day later. We hope to see you there!

Introduction
Welcome to Bromptoberfest 2023. Our annual grand slam of Brompton events is returning on Sat Oct 07, 2023. For many this has been the pinnacle of our social rides. If you're new to the Brompton community, this is one event you won't want to miss.
The Routes : Subject to changes
Option 1
Our relaxed route is approximately 17 miles and will take us through the boroughs of Manhattan, The Bronx, and Queens. This route is recommended for those whom want to socialize a little more and take in the adventures along the way. Our group will depart first and arrive to the venue before our advanced group. Option 2
Our advanced route will cover 2 bridges including the Manhattan Bridge and Kosciuszko bridge. This route was altered to reflect NYCDOT construction over the Brooklyn Bridge. This will require slightly high elevation. This route takes riders on a journey through Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens. A 3 borough triple shot!

Safety
The most important part of the ride. In order for everyone to enjoy the event to the maximum, please use common sense and follow traffic patterns, etc. Please use caution when crossing intersections, pedestrians and other cyclists and motorists. All riders must wear helmets. Please ensure your bike is in good condition and tires pressure is inflated. Riders should be comfortable riding along traffic and in groups. We also ask that everyone be respectful to each other and other rides, patrons, pedestrians, etc. This will be classified as the intermediate ride that beginners can enjoy. We will use both drop and sweep so know one will be left behind. The route is subject to changes if we encounter crowds, traffic, construction, etc. A waiver form will be handed out and must be signed.
Meeting
We will meet at 10:00am at Central Park West near The Maine Monument. Location is where Central Park South and West intersect at Columbus Circle. We ask that everyone please be on time for photos, etc.
The Event: Bromptoberfest 2023
Bromptoberfest ride will officially end at Maxs Bratwurst and Bier. Our hosts will ensure safe storage of everyone bikes at the venue. From there everyone can sit back and enjoy Oktoberfest, Brompton style. This event has made us world famous across the Brompton and cycling community. We invite everyone to relax and enjoy great German food after a full day on the saddle.
RSVP is a commitment to the event. We understand that things happen unexpectedly and request that you cancel if you cannot make the event. Head count is essential for the ride and our hosts and their staff.
1pm - 4pm: The below is included with your RSVP for $30

Event fee includes tip.
Feel free to bring cash or card to purchase additional drinks and food.
Conclusion
We hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy. We hope to see both new and familiar faces. Once Bromptoberfest concludes, we ask that everyone use taxis or trains, subways etc. to get home safe. If you must ride, ride together and ride safely.
