Brompton Mountain Biking(!) at L.I. MTB Festival

Ever wondered about riding a mountain bike? This October 14th the Brompton team will be present at the Long Island Mountain Bike Festival to mix with a the crowd of knobby tire bikers. It's a great place to learn about the sport and find out more about mountain bikes in general. While they're not ideal for riding the streets of NYC, they are a fun way to explore and adventure off road north, west, south, and east of the city!

Note: there's no official Brompton lead/sweep for this event but feel free to post in comments/chat if you're looking for a riding buddy for the day. Brompton will be present at the festival as a vendor and there will be plenty of support from CLIMB, the Concerned Long Island Mountain Bikers.

The festival will take place at the beautiful Bethpage State Park in Old Bethpage, NY, which is about a 30 minute ride from NYC. The Stillwell Preserve, Trailview State Park and Massapequa Preserve also put it within range of 40+ miles of beginner to advanced, road and offroad, terrain to explore.

There's a newbie ride at 10am which will explore Bethpage State Park with no rider left behind. We can't vouch for it being 100% Brompton ready, but we bet it will be fun to try! And if you come later, there's a S'mores ride at 4pm, again all easy and relaxed - plus a treat too.
