Bay Ridge to Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Ride with Georgian Food
Details
Lets explore the Dyker Heights Christmas lights on our Bromptons and end with some delicious Georgian food!
Please note: Due to winter temperatures this ride will depart promptly at 3:55 pm. We will save our group photo for mid-ride when everyone is warm from riding.
We'll meet at the Bay Ridge Ferry Terminal at 3:40 pm with 15 minutes for the pre-ride presentation and to enjoy the view. At 3:55 pm we'll depart and bike through an interesting Bay Ridge neighborhood, then up and down the South Brooklyn Waterfront, with gorgeous views of the skyline and the Verrazano Bridge. There should be beautiful warm amber light this time of day as the sun is close to setting. Then we'll bike through Dyker Beach Park to arrive in the Dyker Heights neighborhood shortly after dusk for the Dyker Heights Christmas Lights. After taking in the spectacular display, we'll bike 10 minutes to Cheese and Bread for delicious Georgian food, the perfect comfort meal after a winter ride! (The proprietor is preparing a big buffet for us to share. The price will be under $10 per person.) After our meal, we'll bike up the waterfront to end where we started, at the Bay Ridge Ferry Terminal. The skyline views will be completely different after dark and we'll have a lovely sliver of crescent moon.
