National Margarita Day Ride
Details
Intro: On Sunday Feb 22, we will be celebrating National Margarita Day 2026. This tradition dates back to February 22 2009 for passionate fans of the drink that wanted it during the winter. That tradition is celebrated around the nation and BromptonNYC will do the same. Expect a nice day of social adventure cycling ending with food and drinks.
Meetup: We will meet in front of the Maine Monument in Central Park, by Columbus Circle. This is the large fountain at the corner where Central Park West and South meet. Please be on time as wheels up is 11:15am. We will not wait for anyone and you will be responsible for catching up.
The Ride: This ride will be classified at the intermediate level. Although there is not much elevation, riders should be comfortable riding in an urban environment and along traffic at certain sections. Although not the longest ride, we will have two points of interests along the way. The first will be Rykers Island. Yes, we will stop just outside Rykers Island. The second will be at LGA Airport for a restroom break. For those that seek a little adventure and off the beaten path, well you found it.The distance is around 15 miles. The ride will terminate at Coatzingo. Train service is available to the city across the street.

The price will be $20USD per person which includes a Margarita and choice of 2 tacos. The venue prefers cash as it's easier for their operation. Their ATMs located nearby.
Safety: Helmets are required and lights highly recommended.
