It's time for the open Summer Streets in Manhattan!
https://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/pedestrians/summerstreets.shtml

Weston and I will be doing a speedy ride up the length of Manhattan along the full open streets distance, so if you'd like to join us, come along! There will be minimal stopping. You're welcome to do as much or as little of the distance as you want. The open streets lasts until 3pm, so you have plenty of time to ride up (and down!) as much as you want!

Speed: ~12 miles per hour avg. (This is what we are targeting, but we'll have to see what we can do, given how busy the street is).
Distance: ~14 miles (if you do the whole length)
Gather: 7:45 am
Roll: 8:00 am (sharp. I have to leave right at 8.)
Meet: on the eastern edge of City Hall Park, where Chambers St meets the Brooklyn Bridge.

All bikes are welcome!

The route goes from the Brooklyn Bridge to Broadway and Dyckman Street:

  • Lafayette Street and Park Avenue between Brooklyn Bridge and East 110 Street
  • East 110 Street between Park Avenue and Broadway
  • Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard between West 110 Street and West 113 Street
  • Broadway between West 110 Street and Dyckman Street
