A crisp tour of the Town! This ride starts the the incredibly-easy-to-get-to West Oakland BART Station. We then ride through West O to a coffee and/or pastry break at Bicycle Coffee Roasters in Jack London Square. Once caffeinated, we will continue along the waterfront of JLD (including a spot of well compacted dirt path), turning north towards Lake Merritt. We'll meander up the East and North side shared paths into Downtown. Once again turning north, we'll head through Uptown and end at Temescal Brewing to reward ourselves with a pint and a bite. The brewery is a couple of blocks from MacArthur BART for those taking the tracks home.

**Route description:**

* First half - mostly flat with a short section of well packed dirt path on the JLD waterfront.
* Second half: flat around Lake Merritt with a mild 1-2.5% grade elevation gain of 100ft in the last 2 miles.

**Pace: 20 kph / 12 mph**
**Distance: 12.7 km / 7.9 mi**
**There will be several stops along the way. Everyone welcome. No one will be left behind.**

**All riders who are comfortable with the pace and distance are welcome!**
