It's the 15th anniversary of Friendship is Magic

On October 10th 2010, a newly-formed cable channel, a joint venture between Hasbro and Discovery Channel, began it's first day of broadcasting.

It was called The Hub.

Included in it's line-up of family-friendly shows was a new version of a long-running Hasbro cartoon-and-toy franchise.

It was called "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic".

And a pop-culture phenomenon was born that day.
