The book for February is The Long Game by Rachel Reid! Recommended by Maria and voted on by everyone, because why wouldn't we keep reading Shane and Ilya's story? Thank you to everyone who came out to January's book club. And thanks to Paddy for making us fabulous Heated Rivalry themed drinks. I think I'm still drunk on blueberry vodka. And Elizabeth did an amazing job on our Harlequin 69 hockey jerseys! Thank you!!!

Quick housekeeping note: Someone has been using the name of Smutty Book Club and its organizers to invite people to for-profit events. If you receive any solicitation for an event or receive communication outside of Meetup, asking for money - it is a scam. Please let us know if you see anything suspicious.

Ok back to The Long Game! Here's what the publisher says:
To the world they are rivals, but to each other they are everything.
. Ten years. That’s how long Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov have been seeing each other. How long they’ve been keeping their relationship a secret. From friends, from family…from the league. If Shane wants to stay at the top of his game, what he and Ilya share has to remain secret. He loves Ilya, but what if going public ruins everything?
Ilya is sick of secrets. Shane has gotten so good at hiding his feelings, sometimes Ilya questions if they even exist. The closeness, the intimacy, even the risk that would come with being open about their relationship…Ilya wants it all.
. It’s time for them to decide what’s most important—hockey or love. It’s time to make a call.

https://www.romance.io/ gives The Long Game a steam rating of five out of five - "Explicit and plentiful"
