Advanced Beginning Blues Dance Pt 2

This one-hour lead follow workshop is for dancers who have taken at least one blues dance lesson before or are currently dancing blues. No partner is necessary, and all are welcome to come refine their skills and deepen their connection to the music and to each other.

What we’ll focus on:

• Lead and follow techniques in partnered blues
• Playing with musical rhythms and tempo shifts
• Connection, responsiveness, and grounded movement
• Exploring creative expression and improvisation in your dancing

Kevin has been teaching beginning and advanced beginner blues dance lessons for ten years. His approach emphasizes fun, musical interpretation, and an easygoing style that gets people out on the dance floor quickly.
Over the past few years, Kevin has also taught his unique style of blues dancing throughout Arizona and New Mexico. He has been very active in the Meetup community, organizing and hosting a wide range of live music and social dance events.
