B.R.O.S. Facilitator Information Session: The Art of Holding Space
Details
Learn the art of holding space and discover how you can become a steady presence for others through the B.R.O.S. (Bros Before Lows) Force 184 Facilitator Program.
A facilitator isn't a hero, a guru, or a therapist. A facilitator is an anchor.
At Bros Before Lows, we believe meaningful change begins when people have a safe place to be heard. Our facilitators create environments where individuals can set down their armour, speak honestly, and find strength through connection and community.
Every facilitator is guided by the four pillars of B.R.O.S.
B – Boundary-Setting
Creating spaces that are safe, respectful, confidential, and structured.
R – Respectful Witnessing
Listening without judgment, interruption, or the need to fix someone else's experience.
O – Open-Hearted Presence
Showing up with authenticity, compassion, and the willingness to simply be present.
S – Steady Grounding
Remaining calm and supportive during difficult conversations while helping others feel secure.
### What You'll Learn
During this information session, you'll learn about the opportunity to become a Bros Before Lows facilitator and how we're building a national network of 184 trained facilitators committed to supporting men across Canada.
We'll also introduce our facilitator development pathway through SMART Recovery.
Every attendee will receive:
- A 35% discount on SMART Recovery Facilitator Training.
- The opportunity to become a Bros Before Lows facilitator.
- 100% reimbursement of your SMART Recovery certification after successfully facilitating 12 consecutive Bros Before Lows sessions.
### Why 184 Facilitators?
Our goal is to build a network of 184 trained facilitators across Canada.
If we achieve that goal, we'll create enough weekly peer-support capacity to reach approximately 50% of the current number of men lost to suicide each year in Canada.
Every conversation held is another opportunity for someone to be heard before they reach a point of crisis.
You don't need to be a therapist to change a life.
You simply need to be willing to learn how to hold space.
Join us and become part of the change we needed yesterday.
Where brotherhood meets purpose.
