www.machineunlearning.co.uk/

Kerry is an award-winning creative technologist who’s exploring how AI can augment and inspire human creativity. She’s the co-founder of creative tech agency Tiny Giant, and more recently studied creative coding and art making for wellbeing at the University College of Arts London (UCL).

Over the last two years, she's co-designed an AI curator for the Cheltenham Science Festival, made the world’s first AI gin, crafted AI cocktails and created multiple pieces of art using machine learning.

Alongside her creative work, Kerry is a creative facilitator and host of the Machine Unlearning podcast. A podcast that questions assumptions in the tech world and celebrates those working with technology in unconventional ways.

Kerry will be talking about the exciting ways that AI is disrupting and revolutionising the creative industries. She'll also share some of her own work in this space. The great news is, you can start getting creative with AI too - even if you can’t code. Kerry will show you how.

Phil D Hall
Return of the Avatar; is Conversational AI returning to its origins?

linkedin.com/in/phildhall/
twitter.com/phildhall

Phil D Hall has been engaged in the definition and creation of commercial Chatbots and Conversational AI for 21 years. He is a true vanguard, setting standards for pragmatic development practices long before the market surfaced. His first conversational system was developed in 1982 on a ZX Spectrum.

Phil’s interest and experience is in building, training and consulting on semi-automated information gathering and conversational delivery systems utilising Machine Learning and Rules Based approaches where appropriate giving a Hybrid AI development platform.

Aside from broad experience dealing with companies and organisations of all shapes and sizes, he is a keen supporter of online community and culture and a champion of socio-culturally acceptable ethics and privacy in Cyberspace. This interest stems from a ground-breaking ethnography delivered at UCL during an Anthropology degree in 1997-98.

This research took place in Meridian 59, the world’s first 3D graphical MMORPG / Virtual World and focussed on a person’s articulation of subject and objectivity on and offline. During this research he met a very stupid Chatbot in a virtual bar and after having an argument the path was set for the development work of the last 20 years.

All of this is particularly relevant to the ongoing assimilation of the physical human into digital space and underpins his unique and sophisticated business approach to Conversational A.I. the people that make it and how it is ethically and accurately made.
