Phil Weber
Phil Weber is a member of Aston Centre for AI Research and Applications (ACAIRA) and the Forensic Data Science Laboratory (part of Aston Institute for Forensic Linguistics), and is a lecturer in computer science. He is broadly interested in AI and machine learning from the perspective of how to use data correctly, effectively and efficiently, being able to quantify the confidence which can be placed in results, and how human and artificial "intelligence" relate. Beyond forensic speech science, his main research interests are automatic speech recognition and business process mining. Phil's background is systems integration and administration in industry. He holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham and is a former member of the Think Beyond Data programme at Aston.
