About us
BS3 Connect is a relaxed, no-pressure community drop-in for anyone who’d like a low-key place to be around other people for a couple of hours.
There's lots of great ways to meet people in Bristol - run clubs, book clubs, board game nights, craft nights, sip & paints, language exchanges - but what if none of those are really your thing?
The idea with BS3 Hangout is to create a simple "third space": somewhere that isn’t home or work, where people can spend time, feel welcome, and maybe make a few new connections.
There’s no agenda, no forced introductions, no need to be “good” at anything, and no expectation to stay the whole time.
Come on your own, come with a friend, bring something to do, or just turn up and see how you feel.
Loneliness and disconnection are things lots of people are feeling, and sometimes what helps most is just having somewhere easy and informal to go.
## What can I do there?
You might:
- Chat with others
- Read quietly
- Bring a craft project
- Draw or sketch
- Work on a jigsaw puzzle
- Play board games or card games
- Bring a notebook or journal
- Work on a small creative project
- Bring a miniature model kit
- Do colouring, collage or zines
- Or just hang out with a tea/coffee and do nothing much at all!
You don’t need to bring anything if you don’t want to.
## Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to get out of the house and find a relaxed place to spend an evening.
You might be new to the area, working from home, living alone, between social circles, wanting to meet people without drinking, or simply looking for something to do on a Tuesday night.
All are welcome.
## When and where
Tuesday evenings, 6:30pm-8:30pm
BS3 Community Café, Southville
Ordinarily we ask for a £3 donation per attendee to cover the costs of the facilities, but next week (7 July) will be completely free!
No need to book. Drop in any time during the session.
