Friday AM game to start at the end of May. I really want to run: Vecna: Eve of Ruin. But, I'm looking for a very, very specific kind of player to run it with. I want players who've played multiple editions of D&D in multiple campaign settings over at least twenty years, preferably thirty years. Players who've played in at least two major campaign settings like Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Eberron, Spelljammer and Dark Sun. This campaign is a love song to D&D's history and grognards like myself are going to have moments of flashback while we play. And I want to be able to savor those moments with people who, like myself have been playing since we were teens and for whom the game is a love and a passion and a history of friends and shared stories. So, here's the plan: I only have Friday mornings avail. in my schedule. So the game will be friday mornings 10am-1pm. In person or VTT doesn't matter to me. I'll choose the venue based on my players. If we end up in person we'll play at Lazarus Games in Steelton and all players will split the cost of a private room. (My home is to small to host.) Prospective players will interview for a spot. You may PM me to arrange the interview. Once I've narrowed it down we'll play a game of Costume Fairy Adventures together as a group. Why???? Because I'm the DM that's why!!!! And because I'm a goofball. Vecna is horror themed. But, I know me. I'm a goofball. And I want to play with people who also have an offbeat sense of humor. A shakedown game is helpful. It jells a group. It also reveals peeps who really don't play well with the other kids. And I only play with fun peeps who play well with the other kids. (I've been DM'ing since I was 15. I'm now 58.) I will also say upfront that I will lean towards choosing peeps who have solid DM XP under their belts. I like giving my fellow DM's a chance to play. So, all that said, if you're still interested, PM me.
