Farewell to Weyerbacher's Emmaus Taproom
Details
Yes, the rumors are true, Weyerbacher Brewing's Emmaus Taproom is closing at the end of March (March 29 to be exact) so we will see them off with this meetup. It's not their choice, their lease isn't being renewed. It's not clear what will go into this space though Weyerbacher is the third local brewery to occupy it, after Yergey's and Funk Brewing.
This was the site of our Super Bowl Saturday rally last February and doubleheader meetup last fall. We went there once when Funk was here as well. It's a big space, well suited to large groups like ours. Lots of fun meetup memories have been had here.
Weyerbacher, founded in 1995, is one of the Lehigh Valley's oldest and most highly-regarded breweries. It opened its Emmaus taproom in 2024. Though that will soon close, Weyerbacher will continue to operate from its brewery/taproom on the south side of Easton as well as its taproom/biergarten space on the west side of Allentown, adjacent to the Fairgrounds Hotel. They have no plans at this time to add a third taproom to replace Emmaus.
We'll get things started at 12:30. We're not sure yet about a food truck but we'll update the invite as we find out. And if you're not into beer, the Triple Sun Spirits distillery is co-located in the same building as Weyerbacher. We can pay Funk's a visit as well since it's right around the corner. Bring your Lehigh Valley Brewers Guild passports!
See you there!
