Kornel has travelled to San Francisco this year and took part in the training delivery of Advanced Data Engineering with Databricks to more than 200+ learners. He's going to share his experiences from the training and the latest announcements from the conference. If you'd like to be informed about the latest and greatest technology updates regarding the Databricks world: Unity Catalog, Spark, Delta Lake, make sure you attend this talk.

Kornel is a certified Databricks Professional in Data Engineering and Machine Learning. Furthermore, he's been accepted to the invitation-only club of Databricks Champions. Currently, he's helping clients build scalable data platforms and while doing so enables them to be self-sufficient.

Generative AI Reflections: Navigating Hype towards Effective Business Implementation

Hiflylabs: Imola Horváth

In her talk, Imola will delve into the fascinating realm of NLP and Generative AI. She will share intriguing proof-of-concept projects that demonstrate the seamless integration of OpenAI models with enterprise knowledge bases. Attendees can expect to learn about the innovative approach of using generative AI to translate human questions into SQL queries, unlocking new dimensions of data exploration. Imola will also emphasize the timeless importance of preprocessing and text cleaning techniques, including OCR quality checking, and optimal corpus chunking, in ensuring the accuracy of AI-driven insights. She will shed light on the pivotal role of an efficient search engine in a successful retrieval augmented generation (RAG) pipeline while discussing the nuances of open-source solutions in comparison to the powerful and mighty GPT-4 (for example when it comes to the Hungarian language or txt2sql challenges).
