Interfaith Field Trip: Nipponzan Myohoji NE Peace Pagoda 40th Anniversary

Our sangha will be taking part in interfaith prayers for world peace with Nipponzan Myohoji's New England Peace Pagoda in celebration of their 40th anniversary. Please join us for this sangha field trip and enjoy chanting the odaimoku with practitioners of another Nichiren school.
For those looking to car pool to the Peace Pagoda in Leverett, we will be meeting at the Haverhill temple at 8:00 AM. There is limited seating available so please let us know in advance if you would like to car pool with us.
The drive is roughly 1hr45mins from Haverhill. For those that would like to meet us there, we plan to arrive around 10 AM. The Pagoda's address is below.

11:00 am - All invited to gather initially at the Memorial Stone honoring the late Slow Turtle, Supreme Medicine Man of Wampanoag Nation for his essential role in making possible the arising of this Peace Pagoda 40 years ago.
11:30 am Nipponzan Myohoji Sacred Ceremony Interfaith Prayers for World Peace
1:15 pm Kathy Kelly internationally known and beloved non-violent peace activist shares her message with us followed by musical interlude and announcements
2 pm Offering of lunch to all
2:45 pm Mountain River Taiko Drummers - Asa Peters, Saxophone Closing messages, Poem
3:30 pm Closing Stomp Dance, Everyone Invited to Join. Stomp Dance is traditional Wampanoag spiritual/social dance bringing all together.
